Resin Flow Media
Improve manufacturing rate, quality and control with nonwovens that enhance resin flow.
Resin Flow Media
Resin Flow Media
Our flow media aids control of resin movement and distribution during infusion, ensuring consistent wet-out of resin and improved part fabrication. This is enabled by the material’s open pore structure, which offers minimal resistance to the resin flow front and promotes wetting of the surrounding unidirectional or woven reinforcement fabric via permeability & capillary pressure. The nonwoven is placed on the upper most layer of the reinforcement to promote in-plane resin flow and offers the added benefits of an improved surface finish for secondary bonding or painting, as well as the addition of surface functionality such as EMI shielding, electrical conductivity or corrosion resistance.
