Meet fire-performance requirements without compromising lightweight panel design. TECNOFIRE® is an intumescent material designed for integration within composite panel systems. When exposed to heat, it expands to form an insulating char that helps slow heat transfer and protect underlying materials. Available in multiple formats and converting options, TECNOFIRE® can be incorporated directly within the panel structure or positioned at critical fire-risk locations.

Can be integrated within the panel laminate or positioned at critical fire-risk areas.
Can be evaluated within vacuum infusion, resin transfer moulding, pultrusion, compression moulding, filament winding and hand lay-up processes.

PROVEN FIRE PERFORMANCE

Independently Tested to Recognised Fire Standards

TECNOFIRE® materials have been evaluated against recognised fire-performance standards used across construction and transportation applications.

Selected resin-infusible and pre-infused grades achieved ASTM E84 Class A performance, demonstrating low flame-spread and smoke-development characteristics.

Additional testing has included ASTM E662, ASTM E162 and EN45545 for rail applications.

TECNOFIRE® can be evaluated in several ways depending on the panel design, manufacturing process and fire-performance requirements:

• Within the panel laminate as a dedicated intumescent layer positioned close to potential fire exposure.
• As part of a hybrid fire-protection strategy alongside fire-retardant resin systems and complementary passive fire-protection technologies.
• At joints, gaps and interfaces including panel-to-panel joints, penetrations, locking profiles, perimeter details and compartmentation interfaces.
