Insulation
We produce mats and papers from a range of the world's most advanced insulating materials, providing solutions for both high temperature and cryogenic applications.
Product Data
Insulation Materials
Insulation for both ends of the temperature spectrum
Cryogenic Insulation: We produce Supacool, a range of high performance glass fibre tissues cryogenic tissues. These lightweight materials are usually co-wound with a metal foil and then inserted between the inner and outer walls of the cryogenic vessel. The range includes Supacool M, a binder free microfine glass tissue suitable for liquid oxygen vessels and Supacool T, which is a short chopped glass fibre product containing a small amount of organic binder. High Temperature Insulation: Our papers are produced from a broad range of fibres including glass, mineral, AES (alkaline earth silicate), RCF (refractory ceramic fibre) and alumina depending on the classification temperature required. The fibre type & insulation classification temperature are summarised below. We also offer the capability to supply high temperature insulation material in a number of forms including customised die cut or sheeted parts, spools or jumbo rolls to meet specific customer requirements. Secondary processing is also available, with options including aluminium foil facing and self-adhesive backing.

Typical Applications
Pipe insulation and furnaces
We offer thermal insulation papers produced from a broad range of fibres including glass, mineral, AES and alumina. These nonwovens deliver effective insulation at temperatures ranging from 500°C up to 1600°C for use in pipe insulation, furnaces and many other applications.
Catalytic converters
High performance insulation that plays a critical role in the heat management of catalytic converters and mufflers.
Liquid Oxygen and Nitrogen Vessels
Our SUPACOOL range has high thermal stability and can be co-wound with a metal foil to provide effective superinsulation for cryogenic vessels, including those for liquid oxygen storage.
Markets
A multitude of solutions for automotive composites, ranging from Class A surface finish to friction material substrates and composite EV battery enclosures.
Our nonwovens are used in a broad range of applications in the industrial sector, including fire protection, high temperature insulation, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. They provide a performance benefit through enhanced functionality or by increasing the longevity of a structure or component.
